The wall at the back of Bishopsgate Football Stadium on the Strokestown Road collapsed yesterday.

Longford Town Football Club is hoping to continue to play matches at its home stadium - despite extensive damage during Storm Eowyn.

The wall at the back of Bishopsgate Football Stadium on the Strokestown Road collapsed yesterday.

The club's first match in the new League of Ireland season is against Bray Wanderers on February 15th.

And James Donnelly, the club's operations manager, is hoping it can go ahead at Bishopsgate, as planned.

He has been speaking to our reporter Eoghan Murphy about the storm damage.
