Gary Shaw came back to haunt Longford Town as his two headed goals were the difference as Bray scored a 2-0 win in Bishopsgate.
The game was Town’s first home match since February 22nd and it got off to a nightmare start as Shaw rose to head home Dylan Barrett’s corner on four minutes.
Shaw nearly made it two on 17 minutes as he headed Derek Daly’s cross goal bound only for a fantastic save by Lee Stacey to keep it out.
Five minutes later it was 2-0, Shaw making no mistake to head home Joe Doyle’s cross.
It took 32 minutes for Town’s first real chance as Mick McDonnell headed Dylan Grimes free kick over the bar.
Bray came closest to finding the net after the break, Stacey denying Callum Thompson on 56 minutes, Longford didn’t test Bray keeper Brian Maher as they fell to their first defeat of the season.
