Guo Zhong Chen, of 9 Belvedere Terrace, Mullingar, had previously been charged with arson in relation to the Grafton Court Fire in Longford Town on the 28th of July.

The man in his 30s appeared before Longford District Court yesterday charged under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardaí in Longford are investigating a number of incidents where fake notes were tendered to businesses over the last number of days.
