A group of Ukrainians living in Longford are to launch a special Crafters Café in the town this evening in conjunction with Culture Night.
The week long event will feature various hand crafts such as embroidery, crochet, knitting and paper maché among others with attendees urged to join in with crafter's.
The event has been organised with the support of Creative Ireland and will take place in Grafton Court close to the Longford Shopping Centre.

Ala from Ukraine is one of the main organisers behind the initiative.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound News she says working with your hands is a fantastic way to relax the mind.
