A local TD says he's glad he has the opportunity to serve in Government again after being named as a new Junior Minister. Fianna Fáil TD Robert Troy - who stepped down in 2022 after failing to declare property interests - has been appointed as a Minister of State in the Department of Finance.
The Shannonside region now has four Ministers with Peter Burke sitting at cabinet and Independent TD's Marian Harkin and Kevin 'Boxer' Moran along with Troy as Junior Ministers.
