A Longford Westmeath TD is disputing claims by Simon Coveney that Katherine Zappone did not lobby him for the role of a Special Envoy at the UN.
Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney has been questioned before an Oireachtas Committee for a second time about the controversy.
He told the Committee he should have made it clearer to Ms Zappone in March it was not a job offer, and he was merely seeing if she would be interested in a role his department was considering creating.
Minister Coveney says he didn't feel pressured by Katherine Zappone's queries about the role.
Longford/Westmeath Sinn Fein Deputy Sorcha Clarke who's a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee said this morning what Katherine Zappone did in relations to her communications about the job is lobbying "clear and simple".
