Longford writer Belinda McKeon says she is very excited and nervous to be returning to Ireland after 17 years in America.
The novelist, who is currently finishing her third book, will be taking up a new role to lead Department of English's new Master of Arts (MA) in Creative Writing programme at Maynooth University.
The award-winning writer has been teaching at Rutgers University in America since 2014 and will begin her new role in person from the autumn.
