Gardaí say their focus now is the preparation of a file for the Coroner's Court only.

The ESB says it's likely some people will remain without electricity until next week:

Urban areas are expected to see their water supply return fully by this evening.

Power has been restored to a number of water treatment plants in the region, with generators installed at sites that still do not have power.

Gardaí say the State pathologist will conduct a post-mortem and the results will determine the course of the investigation.

No one was injured but significant damage was caused to the three-bedroom house. 

The fire was reported at approximately 8pm.

There will be none in Donegal, Sligo or Leitrim on Friday until 3pm at the earliest.
