Lough Ree RNLI pay tribute to outgoing lifeboat manager

Kevin Ganly has helped co-ordinate the opening of the services new lifeboat station, a €1.2 million development partly funded by the local community.

Lough Ree RNLI have paid tribute to their outgoing Lifeboat manager as the rescue service is seeking a replacement. Kevin Ganly has helped co-ordinate the opening of the services new lifeboat station, a 1.2 million euro development partly funded by the local community. The Coosan native was praised for his efforts in bringing new volunteers to the organisation and training those already in place.

Volunteers and crew of Lough Ree RNLI gathered last week to celebrate the outgoing lifeboat manager, with special plaque presented to Kevin for his service. Lough Ree RNLI press officer Tom McGuire has been paying tribute to Kevin:
