The Lough Ree RNLI were involved in three different operations the weekend on the local waterway.
Just before 7.30am last, the Coast Guard tasked Lough Ree RNLI volunteer crew to assist one person on board a barge stranded on the Longford shore.
The barge was grounded near Inchbofin island and just north of Hog island and following inspection it was towed to safe waters and continued north.
The crew also were involved in two missions on Saturday - the first just after 1pm when the lifeboat 'Tara Scougall' and its volunteer crew was called to assist three people on board a small cruiser which was stranded on rocks near Milestone Point.
The vessel was towed to safety and continued under its own power.
Soon after its return to base at Coosan Point the volunteer lifeboat crew were on the water again to retrieve a 23ft sailing boat which was found drifting north of Beam Island.
The vessel, which had broken its moorings, was taken under tow and tied up at Coosan Point.
