Just ten percent of all Help to Buy scheme funding to date went to people in the Shannonside Region.
The incentive assists first-time purchasers with the deposit they need to buy or build a new house or apartment.
The scheme began in 2017 with 742 million euro allocated in the last five years, 10.4 million of which went to home buyers in Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon.
Leitrim recorded the lowest amount nationally, with just 1.4 million euro out of all fund to date used in the county.
Prospective home buyers in Longford have seen 2.5 million euro through income and deposit interest tax refunds.
House buyers in Roscommon had the highest local level with 6.1 million euro worth of help given to homeseekers in the county.
Nationally, the majority of the support went to Cork and Dublin
