Coillte have advised that the entry road into Mote Park from the N61 at Ballymurray is inaccessible as crews work to clear debris.

The main entrance to a popular Roscommon park will remain closed to allow for the clearing of felled trees following Storm Darragh.

Coillte have advised that the entry road into Mote Park from the N61 at Ballymurray is inaccessible as crews work to clear debris.

The main walking trails in the park remain open and can be accessed from three other routes including from the Roscommon and Athleague directions.

Eilish Feeley of the Mote Park Conservation Group says Coillte crews are currently working to clear dangerous trees on Ballymurray Avenue.

She says it could take a number of days, to ensure parts of the park safe again:
