Leitrim County Council is to reopen Main Street in Mohill this morning after almost a month of the route being closed to traffic.
Safety concerns over the structural integrity of a local derelict pub on the street led the council to close the road at the start of September.
Motorists have been diverted across smaller local roads, with residents highlighting worries over possible damage caused to the traditionally quiet routes from high traffic.
Following a programme of intensive stabilisation works in conjunction with the owner and the local authority, the site has now been deemed safe to reopen this morning.
