Over seven-hundred-thousand euro has been announced for dozens of outdoor amenities and projects in the Shannonside region.
Overall, almost €4.3 million will be used to improve some 163 outdoor amenities across the country.
Funding will also be invested in 37 outdoor projects that are currently at the early stage of development.

The largest tranche of local funding is being diverted to Roscommon, where a dozen projects will share a total of €375,000 including €50,000 for a Donamon masterplan.
In Leitrim, five projects will share a total of €164,000 including over €43,000 for the Drumshanbo narrow gauge walkway.
And in Longford, six projects will share €179,000 including €50,000 for the Finnea to Abbeyshrule walkway.
