Two popular local amenities have received a funding boost under the Climate Action Community Programme.
Over €215,000 was announced for Lough Ree Access For All and the Walled Gardens at Strokestown Park House.
It was part of a €27 million announcement aimed at supporting initiatives like community gardens, solar energy and community composting.
The funding, announced by Minister Eamon Ryan, has been welcomed by local Senator Eugene Murphy.
