An Athlone-based scientific research firm has is to add almost 200 people to its workforce as part of a major expansion.
Global research firm PPD has confirmed that it is looking to grow a key laboratory at its Athlone site, which will require up to 180 additional highly skilled scientists and technicians
The company is set to almost double the size of its facility in Athlone, with hopes the unit will be fully operational by the middle of next year.
