Shannonside Northern Sound has announced details of one of the biggest open air events to take place in the country this summer.
The annual Midsummers concert event at Roscommon racecourse has been extended to take place over two days , on Saturday and Sunday June 17th and 18th.
The acts to be featured on the Saturday include Irelands biggest selling live act "The Tumbling Paddies" as well as other hugely popular acts which have emerged in recent years such as "Ruaile Buaile", "One for the Road" and Paul Kelly.
The second day of the event on the Sunday will feature a host of country music stars including Philomena Begley, Jimmy Buckley, and Ciona Hagan.
