Work is in the pipeline to see a heritage centre in North Longford become one of the biggest historical attractions in the midlands.
The Knights & Conquests Heritage Centre in Granard opened in 2018 and provides an immersive visitor experience of Norman Ireland.
The staff and volunteers of the centre are 3 months away from breaking ground on a major new development that will see the creation of a traditional Norman village on a 15 acre site near the town.
The planning for the multi million euro project has now been lodged following a freeze in the process due to the coronavirus.
It's now hoped with construction set to begin soon, that the park will be open for locals and tourists alike in 2022.
