Major rise in those seeking treatment for cocaine and gambling addiction

There's been a significant rise in the number of people being treated for cocaine and gambling addiction at one of the country's leading treatment centres.

The Rutland Centre says it's recorded a dramatic surge in the number of people seeking treatment for multiple addictions.

62% of people are now presenting with multiple addictions, with a fifth struggling with three or more substances or behaviours.

Alcohol remains the number one addiction being treated for at the Rutland Centre.
