A major upgrade of a popular Roscommon soccer club has taken another significant step forward. Boyle Celtic football club is currently undergoing the major redevelopment of its grounds including the upgrading of pitches to all weather 4G surfaces, flood lighting and the provision of a new stand and expanded dressing rooms.
Works on the new Hal Cawley Stand is currently underway and is due to finish in the coming weeks and tenders have now been opened for works on the club house. The tenders are being sought for works including the development of more dressing rooms, a community meeting room and referee facilities. Eddie Conroy is the Chairman of Boyle Celtic and says green energy measures are also a key part of the club's plans.
