The HSE has agreed to purchase a property in Leitrim to be used as a residential care home for people with disabilities.
The much-needed facility will be located in the south of county and it follows confirmation that a building had been identified earlier this year.
That news was delivered to parents and local politicians during a meeting with HSE representatives at The Bush Hotel in September.

Cllr Paddy O'Rourke says the announcement that the property has gone sale agreed will be welcome news for campaigners.
