Businesses from across the Shannonside region have been recognised as part of the local enterprise awards.
Taking place in person this year, the competition celebrates small businesses and include accolades that recognise excellence in exporting, sustainability and innovation.
Businesses across the region are celebrating this week having been announced winners at the county enterprise awards.
In Roscommon, Studio Meala an animation studio took home gold.
The Boyle based firm was launched in 2019 by Stephen Fagan, Jerry Twomey and Sean Cunningham. They provide animation production services for many leading international studios, broadcasters and streaming platforms
Cirtex ltd was awarded first place in Longford. Owned and operated by David Garland and Richard Early the duo Manufacture an extensive range of technical non-woven wool, fibre and foam products for multiple upcycling textiles and were recently got awarded 2022 CIRCULEIRES Innovation Fund for Upcycled insulation.
In Leitrim, Blakes Organic based in Drumbshano were announced the overall winners. they produce a number of organic products.
Each company took the top prize of €3000 and will now represent their respective counties at the 22nd National Enterprise Awards at the Mansion House in Dublin on the 2nd June.
