Man (50s) due in court in relation to Longford Town fire

A man arrested in connection to the Longford Town fire is to appear before a special sitting of Longford District court shortly. He was arrested in the Midlands yesterday morning and has remained in custody in Longford Town Garda Station since then.

Millions of euro worth of damage were caused to the Grafton Court area in the aftermath of a major fire on Sunday the 28th of July. 13 business remain closed and 60 people are out of work in the affected area. The man in his 50s will appear at a special sitting of Longford District Court at 5.45pm.
