Westmeath Gardaí have arrested a man and seized €130,000 worth of illegal drugs in Athlone.
Shortly before 11 o'clock this morning, Gardaí searched a car in the Ballymore area, where they recovered Cocaine, Ecstasy and Cannabis with a combined value of €130,000 along with a sum of cash.
A man in his 20s, who was an occupant of the car was arrested and is currently in custody in a Westmeath Garda Station.

The search was conducted by members of the Athlone Detective Unit, Westmeath Divisional Drug unit and the Westmeath Roads Policing Unit.
The seizure as part of Operation Tara, the Garda strategy to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks.
