Gardaí have arrested a man and seized €28,000 worth of suspected cocaine in Co Longford. €6,260 in cash was also seized following a search operation in the Cloonee area on Tuesday. In a follow-up search, Gardaí discovered a cannabis grow farm in the early stages of construction.
The searches were carried out by the Longford Divisional Drugs Unit, Western Region Armed Support Unit, Roads Policing Unit Longford and officers from Longford Community Engagement and Granard. The man arrested in connection with the investigation is currently being detained at a Garda station in Longford.
