A man has been arrested after firing a pellet gun at Gardaí in a house in Longford. Officers called to the house in Edgeworthstown this morning to execute a number of court orders. They say a man in his 30s in the house discharged what's believed to be a pellet gun, on a number of occasions, at the unarmed uniform Gardaí.
He then fled the scene, before being located with the help of the Air Support Unit. He's being questioned at a Garda station in Longford, where he can be held for up to 24 hours. Three Gardaí received minor injuries - however, they didn't require immediate medical treatment.
