Man arrested following alleged assault of taxi driver in Ballinasloe

A man in his 30s has been arrested in Ballinasloe following an alleged serious assault of a taxi driver.
The incident on Bridge Street on in Ballinasloe took place in the early hours of Saturday morning the 4th of January.

Gardaí arrested a man in the aftermath of the incident and has since been charged.
He's now due to appear before Ballinasloe District Court later this month.
