A man has been arrested in connection with a spate of car break-ins overnight in Athlone.
It's believed up to ten cars were broken into during the incident which took place in a housing estate in the Arcadia area of the town.
A number of items were taken from the vehicles during the widespread theft.

The man in his 30's is being detained at Athlone Garda Station.
