An investigation is underway after a man was found stabbed to death in Co. Kerry.
His body remains at the scene at an apartment in Tralee pending the arrival of the state pathologist and the Garda technical bureau.
The man was found with serious injuries at an apartment in the Abbey Court apartment complex in Tralee shortly after 7 o'clock yesterday evening.
The man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The local Coroner has been notified and the State Pathologist will carry out a post mortem this morning.
A man in his 50s has since been arrested and is being questioned at Tralee Garda Station.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and are asking to those who were in the area of Abbey Court Apartments and Denny Lane / Street areas between 6:30pm and 7:00pm yesterday to come forward.
