A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a Roscommon native in a road crash earlier this year.
Declan Curley was killed after being struck by a car in central Wellington as he was crossing the street on February 12th last.
New Zealand police have confirmed to Shannonside FM that a man has now been charged in connection with the fatal road crash.
A 21-year-old man appeared in court earlier this week charged with dangerous driving causing death and excess breath alcohol causing death
He was granted bail and is due back in court again on the 20th of June.

A man has been charged in relation to a fatal crash in central Wellington in February.
The crash occurred on Dixon Street early in the morning of 12 February, when a pedestrian was struck by a car.
Tragically the pedestrian, 37-year-old Declan Curley, died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 21-year-old Wainuiomata man, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and excess breath alcohol causing death.
The man is next scheduled to appear in Wellington District Court on 20 June.
