A 22-year-old man is due back in court next week after being charged with two murders in Sligo.
Yousef Palani, with an address of 10, Markevicz Heights, appeared at Sligo District Court charged in connection with the deaths of Roscommon native Aidan Moffitt and 58-year-old Michael Snee.
The 22-year-old was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning by gardaí investigating the death of the two men.
He was charged with the murder of the 41-year old Lisacul native at his home in Cartron Heights as well as the murder of the 58-year-old former health care assistant at his home in Connaughton Road.
He has also been charged with a section four assault on a third individual.
The court heard he made no reply to three charges, but to the count of murder of Michale Snee, he replied that he understood what a Garda was saying to him.
Judge Sandra Murphy heard the 22-year-old is unemployed and he was granted free legal aid.
He has been remanded in custody to Castlerea Prison to appear in court again on April 21st next at Sligo District Court.
