A man in his 40s has died in a crash which involved a car and a truck in Co Cavan.
It happened at around 11:30 this morning on the R178 at Carrickgorman in Bailieborough.
The man - who was driving the car - was pronounced dead at the scene.The road remains closed with local diversions in place, and a technical exam of the scene is being carried out.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward - particularly those with dash-cam footage.
