A man's died after a suspected assault in Co. Mayo. Gardaí found the man aged in his late 50's after being called to a house on Tone Street in Ballina just before midnight last night. He'd suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two men in their late 20's and 30's have been arrested and taken to Garda stations in the north west for questioning. The scene has been preserved and the office of the state pathologist has been called in along with the Garda technical bureau.
