A Longford man injured in a farmyard accident several weeks ago has died.
The married man sustained serious head injuries following a fall at his farm in the Carrickboy area at the end of March.
It's believed he may have fallen from a height while working on bales.
He was discovered by a member of his family at around 7pm on March 28th last and was subsequently airlifted to Beaumont Hospital.
He had remained in a very serious condition at the hospital for the last six weeks before passing away last night.
The Health and Safety Authority is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
