A man in his 20s is due in court today after close to €600,000 worth of cannabis was seized by Roscommon Gardaí yesterday afternoon.
Members of the Roscommon and Longford Divisional Drugs Unit raided a property yesterday in the village of Frenchpark.
There they discovered a sophisticated growhouse both in the residence and in external sheds.
139 cannabis plants were recovered along with 22 and a half kilos of vacuum-packed cannabis herb worth €592,000.
The man in his 20s has been charged in relation to the incident and will appear before a special sitting of Roscommon District Court today at 3pm.
