It's understood a man being questioned about the murders of two men in Sligo town is set to be charged in connection with their deaths.
The man was detained in the early hours of Wednesday morning after the discovery of the body of 58-year-old Michael Snee.
The remains of 42-year-old Aidan Moffitt were found on Monday.
Editor of the Sligo Champion, Paul Deering, says the man in custody is likely to be brought before the courts in connection with their deaths this evening.
"The suspect is in his 20s, and would have grown up in Sligo. He was detained since yesterday and his detention was suspended overnight. The time for being charged or released is at half-one today. I understand that he may face charges in connection with both murders later on today."
