A man in his late 20's has been hospitalised following an incident in Longford last evening.
Gardaí and members of the emergency services attended a call out in the Ardnacassa area of the Ballinalee road.
According to a Garda spokesperson, one man was injured in a road traffic incident and was taken to Mullingar Hospital for treatment.

It's not yet known the extent of the man's injuries or if anyone else was involved.
Several Garda units rushed to the scene just after 5 o'clock yesterday evening, with reports that parts of Ardnacassa Avenue were shut by Gardaí.
