Man to be sentenced for importing €8m of cocaine into Longford

Fifty-six-year-old Tim Gilchrist Junior of Mavis Bank, Newrath, Waterford, pleaded guilty at a sitting of Mullingar Circuit Criminal Court on Tuesday.

A man will be sentenced today for importing €8.4 million worth of cocaine into Abbeyshrule Aerodrome in Co Longford two years ago.

Fifty-six-year-old Tim Gilchrist Junior of Mavis Bank, Newrath, Waterford, pleaded guilty at a sitting of Mullingar Circuit Criminal Court on Tuesday.

He had previously pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine for sale or supply at Lough Owel, Irishtown, Co Westmeath, on the same date, August 4, 2022.
