Superintendent Liam Geraghty, from the Garda press office, says they're trying to trace his last movements.

A man who died in a crash in Castlepollard, Co Westmeath, is believed to have lost his life over two days before his body was found.

Gardai and emergency services were alerted to a car found in a ditch on the roadside of the R395 at Teevrevagh, Castlepollard, at 6.40pm on Tuesday.

They found the dead body of 47-year-old Marcin Nowosielski,  in the driver's seat.
