A man who died in a walking accident in north Leitrim earlier this week has been named.
Anthony Doorhy from Loughrea, Co Galway fell approximately 20metres into a stream when out walking near the Devil's Chimney at Glencar on Sunday evening.
The alarm was raised at around 7pm and a major search operation was launched involving the coastguard and the Sligo-Leitrim mountain rescue.
The Galway native, who was in 60s, was taken from the water after a complex rescue but died shortly afterwards.
He is survived but his partner and two daughters,
The family has extended their deepest gratitude to all of the emergency services personnel who assisted Anthony at the scene of his accident.
