Man who died in Longford crash was army private from Dublin

Tributes are being paid to an army private who lost his life in a road crash in Co Longford over the weekend.

Private Ross Mulligan is from Co Dublin and died in a single vehicle collision on R198 Longford to Drumlish road last Saturday morning.

The Chaplaincy Service of the Irish Defence Forces paid tribute to Private Mulligan, saying Ross and his family will be remembered in their prayers and masses over the weekend.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and any road-users with dash-cam footage to come forward by contacting Longford Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.
