Man who died in road collision in Ballymahon named locally

A man who passed away yesterday following a collision in Co. Longford has been named locally.
Damian Machnowski, who was in his 30s, died when the vehicle he was driving struck a wall along the N55 between Ballymahon and Edgeworthstown.

The single-vehicle collision occurred shortly before 1am.
The young man was treated for his injuries at the scene but was later pronounced dead.
Forensic investigations have been taking place and the road has since been reopened.
