The manager of the Drumshanbo Food Hub says employment such as that provided by their tenants is probably the safest of its kind for the area.
Fergal McPartland has been speaking as progress is being made on the refurbishment of an old IDA factory in the town to provide extra space for some clients who are expanding.
The Hub manager says some of the family run businesses who operate out of the hubs are very successful and are providing good quality jobs for people in the surrounding area.
He says the method of hubs and other similar developments is likely to provide far more security for rural counties employment wise than bigger multinationals…
