Sligo/Leitrim TD Marian Harkin says she'll take each vote on its merits in the new government and won't be automatically opposing or supporting.
The Independent Deputy says she was obviously very disappointed to see no senior government minister for the entire western region when the new cabinet was announced.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Deputy Harkin says that she believes Michael Martin will need to make significant Junior Minister appointments locally but even that won't redress the imbalance.

She says she will take each vote as it comes in the new government.
