Martin Kenny has secured the second seat in Sligo–Leitrim on the 12th count.
Kenny received a substantial transfer from Sinn Fein running mate Chris MacManus of 5,215 votes to exceed the quota. Kenny’s total vote came in 15,433 a surplus of 4,052.
Kenny’s surplus will now be distrubted as Kenny joins Frank Feighan who secured the quota on the 11th count.
Meanwhile, Marian Harkin has extended her lead in the battle for the fourth seat. Harkin has a 500+ lead on Independent Ireland’s Michael Clarke.
Whereas, Fianna Fail’s Eamon Scanlon is third place with 9,967 votes. 1,138 ahead of Harkin.
