Martin Kenny returned in Sligo-Leitrim

Martin Kenny has secured the second seat in Sligo–Leitrim on the 12^th count.

Kenny received a substantial transfer from Sinn Fein running mate Chris MacManus of 5,215 votes to exceed the quota. Kenny’s total vote came in 15,433 a surplus of 4,052.

Kenny’s surplus will now be distrubted as Kenny joins Frank Feighan who secured the quota on the 11^th count.

Meanwhile, Marian Harkin has extended her lead in the battle for the fourth seat. Harkin has a 500+ lead on Independent Ireland’s Michael Clarke.

Whereas, Fianna Fail’s Eamon Scanlon is third place with 9,967 votes. 1,138 ahead of Harkin.
