A group of concerned residents will hold a special meeting this evening over the N4 Carrick-on-Shannon bypass.
A public consultation was held by the council and project consultants Arup earlier this year, however some home owners along the route believe the data on display was flawed.
The opposition group claims that research carried out on the route was conducted during lockdowns and is not a true representation of traffic levels in the area.
They are also concerned at the plans to upgrade the route between Faulties and Liseeghan which they feel may not be feasible for an increase in usage.
A meeting will be held in the Bush Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon this evening at 7:30pm to discuss the issue with speakers from An Taisce and several farm organisations in attendance.
