Memorial events are being held around the country today to mark World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
The initiative by the Road Safety and Micromobility Unit of Dublin City Council not only commemorates the victims, but also champions the cause of fostering a safer and more conscientious road culture.
The event aims to promote road safety by bringing together various state bodies.
