An IFA decision to host a series of regional rallies this Friday has been heavily criticised over its clash with a major Mica demonstration planned for Dublin.
Local MEP Luke 'Ming' Flanagan has branded the Irish Farmers Association a disgrace, and claims their demonstrations will take the focus from the Mica situation affecting thousands of home owners.
The IFA is holding a total of four regional rallies on the day to highlight what it describes as the government's action in pursuing policies that will decimate Ireland's largest indigenous sector.
MEP Flanagan says that the farming organisation is ignoring hundreds of farmers affected by the mica scandal from the North West to the South West.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, The Roscommon representative says the mica problem needs massive public pressure to ensure the government address the problem effectively.
