24 counties will come under a yellow wind and rain warning as storm Agnes is expected to make landfall tomorrow.
Met Éireann has warned of the potential for flooding and power outages.
The Status Yellow warning applies to Leinster and Munster from 7am on Wednesday for the rest of the day, with the same warning also in place in the six counties in Northern Ireland from 10am.
