Michael Glavey’s booked their place in the Hudson Bay Hotel Roscommon SFC quarter-final with a commanding 2-13 to five point win over Elphin.
Glavey’s were awesome from the throw-in and led six points to one at the first water break a mark of their domination the face Elphin could only add one further second-half point.
Cathal Heneghan found the Elphin net on 22 minutes after Glavey’s carved open the Elphin defence allowing Heneghan through to score the goal as Glavey’s led 1-8 to two points at half-time.
Gerard Fagan scored a sensational second goal for Micheal Glavey’s 23 minutes into the second, collecting Conor Hussey’s pass and throw three dummies before finding the bottom corner.
The goal killed off any attempted come back by Elphin as Glavey’s ran out winners 2-13 to five points.
The win means Micheal Glavey’s will now meet St. Brigids in next week’s quarter-final.
